Hi! ​My name is {María del Rosario} {Martínez-Ordaz} 
​and I am a philosopher of science.
​​​My current research focuses on the connections between scientific understanding and misinformation in scientific contexts. ​
I work mainly in general philosophy of science and philosophy of logic.  My interests extend into history of science and non-classical logics. 

I also coordinate LogicaMx (PSA Outreach and Engagement Award 2021!).  
In 2020, with Moisés Macías-Bustos, I coordinated the Iberoamerican Philosophy of Science seminar. 
At UNAM, I founded the Philosophy of Science Reading Group (2015 -2019).

[September 1, 2025] My essay "Disruptive Technologies and the Epistemic Vulnerability of Science: A Philosophical Analysis of Disinformation"
​has received an honorific mention in the UNAM's essay award The effects of misinformation in the various areas of knowledge. (in SPANISH)
​[April 2025] I was awarded the UNAM's Alfonso Caso Medal 2019 for my dissertation "Applications of Paraconsistent Tools in the Study of Tolerance towards Contradictions between Theory and Observation".
